Honda City Facelift 2026 - Launch, Features & Engine Options

Honda City facelift 2026 launching on 22nd May. Minor design updates, ADAS tech, and hybrid efficiency included. Continues with 1.5L petrol and e:HEV hybrid engines.

Honda Car India is gearing up to launch the 2026 Honda City facelift on 22nd May. This will be the second mid-cycle update for the fifth-generation City, following the earlier facelift in 2023. With the next-generation City expected only by 2028, this update is aimed at keeping the sedan competitive against rivals like the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Hyundai Verna.

Subtle Design Changes

The facelift brings minor but meaningful design updates. At the front, the City is expected to get a refreshed grille, updated LED headlights, and a tweaked bumper. The rear will see updated tail lamp graphics and a slightly revised bumper. The side profile will largely remain unchanged, although new alloy wheel designs and fresh colour options could enhance its appeal.

Updated Interior and Features

Inside, the dashboard layout will remain familiar, with subtle changes like new upholstery and trim inserts. The Honda Sensing ADAS suite will continue to offer adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and collision mitigation braking.

The facelift may also add a 360-degree camera, while retaining existing highlights such as the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster, and connected car features.

Engine and Hybrid Options

Powertrain options are expected to stay the same. The facelifted City will continue with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or CVT gearbox.

The e:HEV hybrid variant will also remain, offering 126 PS with an e-CVT transmission, making it one of the most fuel-efficient options in the segment.
