Honda Elevate, a made-in-India mid-size SUV, is sold as WR-V in the Japanese market. Interestingly, in a recent Japan New Car Assessment Programme (JNCAP) crash test, the Elevate (WR-V) has achieved a 5-star safety rating, marking a victory for Indian manufacturing.
The Elevate recorded an overall score of 90 percent (176.23 out of 193.8 points) in the Japan NCAP 2024 crash test.
The SUV stood out with a 95 percent score in preventive safety performance (82.22 out of 85.8 points) and an 86 percent score in collision safety performance (86.01 out of 100 points).
The Elevate underwent a series of crash evaluations, including full frontal, front offset, and side collisions.

Despite its strong showing in Japan, the Honda Elevate has not yet been tested by Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP. Given its impressive safety performance overseas, Indian consumers will be keen to see how the Elevate fares in domestic safety evaluations.
