Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has witnessed a significant change in customer buying patterns. In FY2024-25, the brand recorded a sharp rise in sales of sunroof-equipped cars and SUVs, along with growing interest in advanced safety technologies like ADAS.
Hyundai reported that 53.2% of its vehicles sold in India were equipped with a sunroof, indicating strong customer interest in premium and comfort-oriented features. The company currently offers a sunroof in 12 out of 14 models, making the feature widely accessible across its lineup.

Hyundai’s SUV portfolio continues to perform exceptionally well, with SUVs contributing 68.5% to total domestic sales in FY2024-25 — a rise from 63.2% in the previous fiscal year. This growth is powered by popular models like the Hyundai Exter, Venue, Alcazar, Creta, Ioniq 5, and Tucson.
The company also revealed that customer trust in advanced safety technology is growing rapidly. The share of ADAS-equipped vehicles doubled, increasing from 6.7% in FY2023-24 to 14.3% in FY2024-25. Hyundai now offers ADAS features in 9 of its models, aligning with global automotive safety standards.
Hyundai continues to offer a wide range of powertrain options to suit different driving styles and needs. The brand provides Petrol, Diesel, Turbo Petrol, CNG, and Electric variants, along with multiple transmission types such as iVT, AT, AMT, and DCT. This variety ensures that customers have the flexibility to choose the right combination for their preferences.
