Kia Motors India is all set to launch its flagship electric SUV, EV9 on October 3. Ahead of its arrival, various details regarding its design, features, and specifications surfaced online. Read further to get more insights.

In terms of size, the electric SUV measures 5,010 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,755 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,100 mm.

From the design perspective, the EV9 has a boxy shape with futuristic design elements. Some of its exterior features include a front grille with digital pattern lighting, a vertically positioned headlight setup, and Star Map LED DRLs.

The cabin of the Kia EV9 exhibits a minimalist design for the dashboard in a Black finish while the leatherette seat upholstery comes in dual-tone (White and Black).

In terms of features, the flagship electric SUV offers a 3-screen setup. Two of these units (measuring 12.3-inch screens each) are for infotainment and a digital instrument cluster. Between these two screens, there is a 5.3-inch climate control display as well. Another notable feature is the virtually hidden touch panel on the dashboard for climate control, start/stop, media, and ventilation systems.
Other noteworthy features include power-adjustable seats for all 3 rows, digital key, ambient lighting, separate sunroof for first & second rows, digital IRVM, captain seats in the second row, and 8-way power adjustment with massage functionality.
The India-spec EV9 also gets a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. It comprises a range of features such as Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Kia EV9 is built on the same (Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that underpins the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. The India-spec EV9 comes with a 99.8 kWh battery pack. Paired with two electric motors, it can produce a power of 378 bhp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The EV9 can deliver an impressive range of up to 500 km. It comes with an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) drive type.
Using the 350 kW DC fast charger, the EV9 can be charged from 10-80 percent in just 24 minutes. Besides, the electric SUV supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality.
India-spec Kia EV9 electric SUV is likely to be priced from Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). An official price announcement will be made on October 3. Upon launch, it can give tough competition to the BMW iX, Mercedes-Benz EQE, and Audi Q8 e-tron.
