Mahindra & Mahindra is betting big on its upcoming EVs. The automaker recently unveiled its new brand identity for its EV range on August 15. Now, as part of its EV day campaign, the company has released a short teaser that showcases three of its new EVs, the XUV.e8, XUV.e9 and the BE.05 doing 200 kmph driving on the Mahindra testing track in Tamil Nadu.
In the video, we can see the fully camo-clad SUV doing their test runs on the high-speed track at Mahindra SUV Proving Ground. The upcoming EVs can be seen running alongside each other before executing a figure 8 manoeuvre to show their handling capabilities.
Mahindra is slated to reveal the XUV.e8, essentially the electric version of the XUV700 flagship, around late 2024. It will be followed by the XUV.e9, the SUV-coupe sibling of the e8. The teaser video is the first time Mahindra has revealed the electric SUV coupe being tested.
The last Mahindra EV to be launched is the BE.05, which currently has just passed the design stages. The automaker had revealed a production-ready model earlier in August, but details are limited as expected. Mahindra is planning to introduce the BE.05 sometime around October 2025.
Mahindra currently offers only a single EV in its lineup, the XUV400, which is based on the XUV300 compact SUV. Prices start from Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom) - Rs 19.39 lakh (ex-showroom). It reveals the likes of the Tata Nexon EV (facelifted version set to launch soon) and the MG ZS EV.
