Mahindra to launch Vision S SUV by March 2027 Scorpio-N and Thar facelifts arriving this year
Mahindra & Mahindra is shifting into high gear for the remainder of the current financial year, FY2026-27. The company is preparing to refresh its iconic off-roaders and debut an exciting new compact SUV. A total of three SUVs will be launched before the end of this fiscal year, and all has been spotted testing across multiple terrains.
Here is what you can expect from Mahindra’s upcoming SUVs by March 2027:
The hugely popular Scorpio N is all set to receive a high-tech makeover. While the rugged character will be retained, the focus will shift toward premium tech and comfort. The spy images confirmed that the Mahindra Scorpio-N will finally receive the most requested feature, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The SUV will come with a revised dashboard layout, featuring a “Thar-Roxx-like” displays. It will get a new 10.25-inch floating touchscreen with better user interface and fast processing along with a new 10.25-inch digital driver’s display with navigation and ADAS alerts.
The Scorpio-N facelift will also come with a high-definition 360-degree camera system along with a blind-view monitor. It will also receive cosmetic design and interior changes along with a longer list of features. The SUV will retain the existing 2.0L turbo petrol and 2.2L turbo diesel engines paired either to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
Mahindra is testing the Thar 3-door facelift, which will come with significant changes in terms of design and interior. This lifestyle off-roader will share design with the Thar-Roxx, featuring circular LED headlamps, C-shaped daytime running lamps and a two-part grille with six-slats. The SUV is also expected to get new alloy wheels and LED tail-lamps.
The SUV is expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, auto dimming IRVM, centre armrest, and other features. It will retain the engine options, including a 152hp, 2.0L turbo petrol, a 132hp, 2.2L turbo diesel and a 119hp, 1.5L turbo diesel.

The production version of the Mahindra Vision S Concept is scheduled to be launched in early 2027. The SUV could be revealed before the end of this year, as testing of the SUV with production-ready body panels have already been started. It will be marketed as a lifestyle SUV, and will target the upcoming Renault Bridger and Tata Scarlet. The production-ready Mahindra Vision S will debut the brand’s NU_IQ monocoque modular architecture, is compatible with ICE (internal combustion engine), hybrid and electric powertrains.
It is rumoured to be the smallest member of the Scorpio family, and could be called the Scorpio Sport. The Mahindra Vision S is likely to be offered with the brand’s proven 1.5L, four-cylinder diesel engine that also powers the XUV 3XO. Its petrol version will get the 1.2L turbo unit. Mahindra is also planning to launch its EV and hybrid versions in future.
