Mahindra has been released multiple teasers of the upcoming XEV 9S 7-seater electric SUV, which reveals key details. The all-electric SUV is scheduled to be launched on November 26-27, 2025. It will be the third model based on the brand’s Born Electric platform, called the INGLO. The 7-seater electric SUV is most likely to receive additional comfort and convenience features over the XEV 9e and BE 6.

The teasers confirmed that the Mahindra XEV 9S will come with a triple screen dashboard comprising a 12.3-inch infotainment unit, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s unit and a co-occupant 12.3-inch entertainment screen.
The electric SUV will come with electrically adjustable front seats. In fact, the powered driver’s seat will have memory function. Mahindra could add massage function with the XEV 9S electric SUV. The electric SUV is also likely to get ventilated seats in the second row; front will have ventilated front seats.
The big update is that the Mahindra XEV 9S electric SUV will come with sliding second-row seats. The second row can be slide back and forth. This improves the overall comfort levels for both second and third-row seats.
The homegrown UV maker is expected to offer three-zone climate control system with the new XEV 9S. Adding to it, the electric SUV will come with a panoramic sunroof and multi-colour ambient lighting.
Other key features could include powered tailgate, AR-based HUD, remote auto parking, HARMAN Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, multiple wireless charger, etc.
The electric SUV is expected to share its battery system with the Mahindra XEV 9e, which is available with a 59KWh and 79kWh battery packs. This time around, Mahindra could offer a dual-motor AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. We expect the new XEV 9S will offer a range of up to 450-500km on a single charge.
