Maruti Suzuki has made a strategic move by reintroducing the Brezza with its mild-hybrid technology in manual versions. Back in July 2023, the automaker had silently removed this technology from the manual variants while restructuring the Brezza lineup. Now, in a surprising comeback, the brand has exclusively offered fuel-saving technology on higher-spec trims with prices starting at Rs 11.05 lakh (ex-showroom).
With the reintroduction of the mild-hybrid technology in manual variants, there is a noteworthy improvement in their fuel efficiency. It now climbs up from 17.38 kmpl to an impressive 19.89 kmpl.
However, this figure is slightly below the 20.5 kmpl achieved by the Brezza's 101 bhp, K15C engine earlier that featured mild hybrid technology.
As mentioned earlier, Maruti Suzuki is offering the mild-hybrid technology only on the high-end manual variants; ZXI and ZXI+. Prices for both variants stand at Rs 11.05 lakh and Rs 12.48 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
Additionally, the same technology is offered in the automatic versions, such as VXI AT priced at Rs 11.15 lakh), ZXI AT that costs Rs 12.55 lakh and ZXI+ AT which retails at Rs 13.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
