The German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz has launched the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro in the Indian market. The new GT series price in India starts from Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom). The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 range looks identical to the previous model, which was discontinued in 2020. However, the updated models get a new interior with a four-seater layout and a re-worked engine.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 is available at a starting price of Rs 3 crore. The higher-spec GT 63 PRO is priced at Rs 3.65 crore. All the prices are ex-showroom, Pan India.
Both versions are powered by a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The engine is tuned to offer a maximum power and torque output of 585 PS and 800Nm, respectively. The GT 63 PRO version gets a higher-spec version of this powertrain. The same powertrain offers 612 PS and 850Nm of torque for the GT PRO. A 9-speed automatic gearbox sends power to all-four wheels via an all-wheel-drive system.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 is claimed to achieve 0 to 100 kmph acceleration in just 3.2 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 317 kmph.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 PRO come with sport seats for driver and co-occupant. It now features a 2+2 seating layout with rear seats offering space for kids or pets.
In terms of features, the performance-oriented GT 63 range gets a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and an 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, which is positioned in a portrait orientation. Other features include a multi-zone auto AC, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lighting, a Burmester sound system, 8 airbags, traction control, rear parking camera with sensors and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers.
