CLA EV launches on April 24 with two variants. Up to 792 km range stands out in the segment. Prices likely to start from around Rs 55 lakh.
Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch its all-electric CLA sedan in India on April 24, 2026. The company has already started accepting bookings earlier this month, with a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Deliveries will begin soon after the launch, starting with select customers in phases. The new CLA EV is expected to attract buyers looking for a premium electric sedan with long range and modern features.

The CLA EV will be offered in two versions - the CLA 250+ Long Range and the CLA 200 Standard Range.
The Long Range variant will reach customers first, with deliveries expected by the end of April. The Standard Range version will follow later, likely around June 2026. This second variant has been introduced to make the car more accessible to a wider group of buyers.
Range is one of the biggest highlights of the new CLA EV.
The CLA 250+ Long Range offers a claimed driving range of up to 792 km on a single charge, which is among the highest in its segment. On the other hand, the CLA 200 Standard Range is expected to deliver around 542 km.
These figures make the sedan suitable for both city drives and long-distance travel.
The CLA EV is built on an advanced 800-volt architecture, which enables ultra-fast charging.
Using a 240 kW DC fast charger, the Long Range variant can gain close to 400 km of range in just 20 minutes. The Standard Range model can add around 320 km in the same time.
Mercedes-Benz is also supporting the car with its ‘MB.Charge’ network, which now includes over 9,000 charging points across India.

Both variants are expected to come with a similar set of features despite the difference in range. Buyers can expect a premium cabin experience along with modern tech and safety features.
The car will also include an intelligent navigation system that can plan routes with charging stops automatically, making long drives easier.
Customers will have the option to install a home charger with up to 22 kW output. Early buyers who pre-book the vehicle will get this wall box charger at no extra cost.
The Mercedes CLA EV is expected to start at around Rs 55 lakh for the Standard Range variant. The Long Range version could be priced closer to Rs 59 lakh.
With this pricing, the CLA EV will position itself as a strong option in the premium electric sedan segment.
