Mercedes CLA EV estimated price Rs 50-55 lakh Bookings open at Rs 1.5 lakh Range - 792km
The much-anticipated Mercedes-Benz CLA EV will finally go on sale in the Indian market tomorrow. Interested customers can book the new sedan online or at authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership by paying a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh, ex-showroom. Deliveries will also begin soon in a phased manner.
The CLA electric sedan will come in two variants - the CLA 250+ Long Range and the CLA 200 Standard Range. The company will first start delivering the Long Range variant, while the deliveries for the standard version is expected to commence around June 2026.
We expect the CLA EV Long Range variant to cost somewhere around Rs 55 lakh, while the standard variant could be priced around Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom. Customers who pre-book the new CLA will receive a complimentary wall box home charger for free. It will be the brand’s entry-level electric offering, and comes as a replacement for the A-Class Limousine, EQA and EQB EVs.
Built on the new 800-volt electrical architecture, the new Mercedes CLA EV is designed to attract buyers looking for a premium electric sedan with long range and modern features. It is packed with a 85kWh battery pack, which is claimed to offer a range of 792km on the WLTP cycle. The CLA electric is claimed to have 93 percent drivetrain efficiency and aerodynamic design, which contributes to higher efficiency.
It comes with a two-speed gearbox, and the rear-axle-mounted electric motor is rated at 272bhp. The CLA 250+ is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph acceleration in just 6.7 seconds. The electric car supports fast charging, and it can achieve 400km of range in just 20 minutes of charging using high-speed 240kW DC fast charging.

In terms of proportions, the new Mercedes-Benz CLA EV is 4723mm long, 1855mm wide and 1468mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2790mm. The sedan has a boot space of 405-litres and a front frunk of 101-litres of capacity. It is 30mm longer, 25mm wider and 25mm taller than the previous model. The EV is claimed to have a low drag coefficient of 0.21.
