Mercedes-Benz is preparing to launch the EQA electric SUV for the Indian market. Expected to launch on July 8, 2024, this smallest pure-electric offering will be based on the GLA crossover. The EQA will be positioned below EQB which is already on sale in India.
The EQA is the electric version of the ICE-powered A-Class. From the outside, the EQA will feature a blanked-off grille with an LED light bar on the top. Other exterior features include a revised lighting setup, connected light design on the tailgate, dual-tone front & rear bumpers, and multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The interior of the EQA EV SUV is similar to the GLA. The EQA will provide dual 10.25-inch displays, a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, turbine-style air conditioning vents, the Burmester-sourced music system, and the latest MBUX system.
Globally, the EQA is offered in four variants - EQA 250, EQA 250+, EQA 300 4Matic, and EQA 350 4Matic. The first two variants can produce 188 bhp with 358 Nm while the remaining two can generate 225 bhp/390 Nm and 288 bhp/520 Nm, respectively.
Further, the SUV is available with two battery packs. Both 66.5kWh and 70.5kWh battery packs are coupled with an electric motor. It claims to offer an impressive range of up to 560km (WLTP cycle).
