Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed its all-new GLC EV 2026 at the 2025 IAA Mobility Show in Munich. The all-electric SUV marks a significant step for Mercedes’ EV lineup and is expected to launch globally in 2026, with India following soon after.
The GLC EV 2026 is built on Mercedes’ new 800V-compatible MB.EA platform. Global markets will see two variants: the rear-wheel-drive GLC 300+ with 374hp and the all-wheel-drive GLC 400 4MATIC delivering 489hp and a top speed of 210kph.
Both models come with a 94kWh NMC battery capable of DC fast charging up to 330kW. Thanks to an integrated DC converter, the SUV can charge on both 800V and 400V stations.
Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes about 24 minutes, while just 10 minutes on a fast charger can add up to 303km of range. The GLC 400 AWD offers an impressive WLTP range of up to 713km.
The new GLC EV 2026 features a striking front grille with 942 illuminated dots framing the Mercedes star. The headlights incorporate star-shaped running lights, while the rear features a full-width taillight bar with star-inspired LEDs.
The aerodynamic design includes a subtle roof spoiler and a sloping roofline, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.26. Standard 20-inch wheels are offered, with an option for 21-inch alloys, while the rear design echoes the styling cues of the electric CLA.
Inside, the GLC EV 2026 boasts the 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, the largest display ever fitted in a Mercedes. It stretches across the entire dashboard, combining the driver display, infotainment, and passenger screen into a seamless digital interface.
The system runs on a new version of MBUX, featuring a built-in AI assistant and cleaner menus. Mercedes has also included physical controls for the steering wheel and center console, ensuring usability alongside futuristic technology.
Mercedes-Benz has not yet confirmed the Mercedes GLC EV 2026 price for India. The expected price range for the new Mercedes-Benz GLC EV in India is Rs 60 to Rs 70 Lakh
The SUV is expected to arrive in the country shortly after its global launch. With long-range capability, fast charging, and luxurious features, the GLC EV 2026 is positioned to compete strongly in India’s premium electric SUV segment.
The Mercedes GLC EV 2026 replaces the outgoing EQE SUV and is aimed at premium electric SUV buyers. It will go up against rivals like the BMW iX3, offering advanced technology, impressive performance, and long-range capabilities.
