After the successful launch of the new Maruti Swift in May 2024, the automaker is planning to bring the next-gen Dzire to the Indian market. Expected to launch in August this year, the upcoming sub-compact sedan will come with significant design updates. It will also introduce an all-new interior, segment-first features, and the new Z-Series engine. Let's know more about the upcoming Maruti Dzire.
In April 2024, Maruti updated the prices of the Swift hatchback. Based on the revised price list, the hatchback has become Rs 25,000 more expensive as it now stands at Rs 6.24 lakh for the base model and Rs 9.28 lakh for the top-spec model.
This price increment has given us the idea that the upcoming Maruti Dzire could also be priced a little higher than the outgoing model. The current model is priced between Rs 6.56 lakh to Rs 9.38 lakh. For the new-gen Dzire, we can expect it to be priced at Rs 7.00 lakh for the base variant and Rs 10 lakh for the high-end model.
(All prices are ex-showroom)
Design-wise, the 2024 Maruti Dzire will get a whole fresh look. It will feature an all-new front grille, new alloy wheels, LED headlamp clusters, and updated tailgate and tail lamps. Inside, it will be offered with segment-first features including a single-pane sunroof and 360-degree camera.
Like the new Swift, the upcoming Maruti Dzire will get a new Z-Series engine in replacement of its current K Series engine. The refreshed Dzire will get a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol unit producing 82 bhp of power with 108 Nm of max torque. Transmission duties will be handled by a 5-speed manual as standard. It might also get an automatic gearbox.
