The much-awaited new generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire is scheduled to be launched before the end of this year. While the official launch date is yet to be revealed, it is expected to go on sale during the festive season, around September 2024.
The new Dzire has been caught testing numerous times, revealing some key details. It is no secret that the new compact sedan will be based on the same architecture that underpins the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift. The new-gen Dzire front design will be significantly different from the Swift hatchback.
The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire front will have a newly styled grille, which appears wider than the one offered in the Dzire. Moreover, the sedan will have bigger headlamps with multibeam LEDs. The front bumper is also redesigned to accommodate a differently styled air intake.
The rear design is also different from the current model. It features a newly designed tailgate and tail-lights. The license number plate is placed on the tailgate, while the lower bumper is redesigned.
The new Maruti Dzire interior will look similar to the new Swift hatchback. However, it will receive more features and tech compared to the hatchback sibling. Instead of all-black, the sedan is likely to receive dual-tone black and beige interior scheme.
The compact sedan will have a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Other features will include a semi-digital instrument console, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable ORVMs or wing mirrors and power windows. The sedan will also receive segment-first electric sunroof. It is rumoured that the new Dzire could also receive a 360-degree surround view camera.
The new Maruti Dzire compact sedan will be powered by the same Z12E, 1.2L 3-cylinder engine that powers the new Swift. This 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine is capable of producing 82PS and 112Nm of torque. It will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The sedan will also receive an AMT unit.
