Just ahead of its official mid-November launch, the new-generation Maruti Dzire has been fully revealed while going to the dealership yard. Freshly surfaced spy shots display an entirely new design on the compact sedan's outside and inside; it shows immense improvements on the previous version and its sibling Swift hatchback, on which it is based.
The 2024 Maruti Dzire comes with a new front design, which differs from the newly launched Swift. At the front, the Dzire sports a bold, wide grille framed by rectangular LED headlamps for a more refined and sharp look. A new gloss-black trim connects the headlamps, with an added chrome strip below. Redesigned fog lamp housing and a robust front bumper complete the Dzire's striking front profile.
At the rear, the back of the Dzire features Y-shaped LED components in the taillamps and a chrome strip at the bottom along the boot. The back lid boasts a small, spoilerish hump. Contour elements on the rear bumper further polish this look, as diamond-cut alloys will only come on higher-end trims and will therefore add yet more refinement to the sedans.
Inside, the all-new Dzire follows almost exactly the general layout seen inside the Swift, but it will receive some unique features, so one of its strongest centerpieces is that giant freestanding, 9-inch touchscreen unit dominating the dashboard surface. The sedan will have a new steering wheel and a new dual-tone scheme. Even though the spotted model doesn’t have a sunroof, the highest one probably features an electric one with added premium facilities. The standard features are accompanied by a 4.2-inch analog instrument cluster; thus, it provides a clear view of the necessary information right in front of the driver by incorporating a digital multi-information display.
Under the skin, the 2024 Dzire will pack the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z Series petrol unit seen in the Swift and is good for 82 hp and 112 Nm of torque. The sedan will come with a standard 5-speed manual unit while an automatic unit for petrol variants. Maruti will also be launching the petrol-CNG variant, which is going to target more eco-friendly, fuel-saving buyers.
Maruti Suzuki will start taking orders for the new Dzire from the next few weeks onwards and will start delivering cars in mid-November. It is scheduled to be launched on November 11, 2024. When the 2024 Maruti Dzire enters the market, it'll straight compete with other sedans in the compact series: the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze, and Tata Tigor, by bringing an all-new design along with upgraded features and decent performance.
