MG has patented a new electric car in India. This sub 4m electric car is likely to be the rebadged version of the Wuling Binguo EV launched in Indonesia. Speculations are that this EV could rival the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 400.
Globally, the car is offered in three pastel colours - Galaxy Blue, Mousse Green, and Milk Tea. In terms of dimensions, it is 3950 mm long, 1708 mm wide, and 1580 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2560 mm.
From the design perspective, it features a unique X-shaped LED DRL signature in both headlights and tail lights. It also has curvaceous & minimal sheet metal detailing and 15-inch wheel covers.
The interior of the EV resembles the MG Comet that is available in India. It has dual 10-inch horizontal displays, a gear-selecting dial, a steering wheel with pod controls, and a key fob.
The Wuling Binguo is powered by two battery packs with DC charging compatibility. These include 31.9 kWh with 41 bhp motor and 37.9 kWh with 68 bhp motor. While the former can offer a range of 333 km, the latter can deliver 410 km of range.
