Nissan India is currently testing the Magnite facelift SUV. Expected to launch by early 2025, the SUV has been spotted testing several times on roads. Nissan currently exports the RHD (right-hand drive) guise from the Oragadam plant. With the facelift version, the automaker will also start manufacturing LHD (left-hand drive) in India. About 25,000-30,000 units will be exported annually for the same.
Recently, the Magnite facelift was seen parked with half cover at the Bharat NCAP crash test facility. Let's see what we can expect from the upcoming car:
The facelift model will feature updated styling with a new front grille, tweaked headlights, reshaped bumpers, LED lighting signatures, updated taillamps, a silver faux skid plate, and a new set of alloy wheels.
The interior of the updated Magnite will be similar to the regular model. However, it is likely to get a redesigned dashboard, updated seat upholstery, and a range of additional features such as a single-pane sunroof and ventilated front seats.
Safety-wise, the four-wheeler could get six airbags with the facelift. Other safety features including a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX, and TPMS will continue to be on offer.
The Magnite facelift will retain the same set of engine options offered in the current model. These include a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol (71bhp/96Nm) and 1.0-litre turbo petrol (99bhp/160Nm). While the naturally aspirated engine can be paired with a 5-speed MT or 5-speed AMT, the turbocharged unit gets a 5-speed manual and CVT gearbox.
