Skoda Auto is all set to unveil its first sub-4m Kylaq SUV on November 6. This compact SUV will be packed with more premium features than its rivals including Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon in the segment. Let's take a look at its top features!
10-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System |
8-inch Digital Driver's Display |
Keyless Entry (Start/Stop Button) |
Wireless Phone Charger |
Six Airbags |
Single-Pane Sunroof |
Automatic Climate Control |
Powered Front Seats with Ventilation |
Rear Parking Camera |
Larger Touchscreen Than Its Rival
The new Kylaq is expected to come with a 10-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. This would be a better deal as its rival Brezza offers a smaller 9-inch screen without wireless smartphone connectivity.
Same Digital Driver's Display as Kushaq
Skoda is likely to carry the same 8-inch fully digital driver's display as offered in Kushaq and Slavia. However, its competitors like Kia Sonet and Mahindra XUV 3XO offer a larger display measuring 10.25 inches.
Powered Front Seats with Ventilation
Recently, it was confirmed that the new Kylaq will get 6-way powered front (both) seats with ventilation functionality. Compared to this, the Kylaq is at the advantage because its rivals like Brezza lack this feature. The Brezza only has manual seat adjustment without any ventilation feature.
Six Airbags
Many automakers offer six airbags across all variants while some provide only in the top-spec variants. However, the Skoda Kylaq will be offered with six airbags as standard across its variant lineup.
Other safety features might also include ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and Hill Hold Assist.
Single-Pane Sunroof
Previous insights have revealed that the Kylaq will come with a sunroof. At this point, the sub-compact SUV loses the game as its rivals like Mahindra XUV 3XO is offered with a larger panoramic sunroof.
Skoda Kylaq is also expected to get keyless entry with a push start/stop button, six airbags, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, a rear parking camera, and more.
Skoda Kylaq is expected to launch in the first week of November 2024. The brand will price it competitively, somewhere around Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
