Skoda Peaq EV Full Details Revealed

Skoda has revealed its flagship electric SUV. The Peaq offers up to 647 km of claimed range. India launch is currently being evaluated.

Skoda has officially revealed the new Peaq EV, which will become the brand's flagship electric SUV in global markets. It is the biggest and most premium electric vehicle in Skoda's lineup and will sit above models like the Epiq, Elroq and Enyaq.

The Peaq will compete with premium electric SUVs such as the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90. Skoda is also considering bringing the SUV to India, where it could become the brand's flagship EV.

Up to 647 km Claimed Range

The Skoda Peaq will be offered in three variants – 60, 90 and 90x.

The entry-level Peaq 60 gets a 63 kWh battery pack paired with a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 204 hp. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 459 km.

The Peaq 90 uses a larger 91 kWh battery and a more powerful rear-wheel-drive motor that produces 286 hp. This version offers the highest claimed range of up to 647 km.

The top-spec Peaq 90x also gets the 91 kWh battery but adds a second motor for all-wheel drive. Together, the dual motors produce 299 hp and deliver a claimed range of up to 613 km.

The fastest version is the 90x, which can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.

Fast Charging Support

Charging times are also impressive.

The 91 kWh battery supports up to 199 kW DC fast charging and can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 28 minutes.

The smaller 63 kWh battery supports up to 160 kW DC fast charging and completes the same charging cycle in around 27 minutes.

Modern Exterior Design

The Peaq follows Skoda's latest Modern Solid design language.

It gets a closed-off Tech Deck front panel with LED lighting, T-shaped Matrix LED headlamps and slim daytime running lights. The bumper also includes functional air vents to improve cooling.

From the side, the SUV gets flush door handles, 19- to 21-inch alloy wheels and a clean body design. At the rear, it features T-shaped LED tail lamps, a roof spoiler and a sporty bumper.

The SUV measures 4,874 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,965 mm.

Premium Cabin With Plenty of Features

Inside, the Peaq gets a clean and premium cabin with a dual-tone dashboard.

The dashboard features a 13.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-inch digital driver's display and a heated two-spoke steering wheel. Skoda has also kept physical buttons for commonly used controls like climate settings and volume.

Other features include a panoramic sunroof, a 16-speaker Sonos sound system, dual wireless phone chargers and USB charging ports for all three rows.

The Peaq also supports bidirectional charging, allowing it to power electrical appliances or even supply electricity back to a home.

For buyers looking for extra comfort, Skoda offers an optional Relax Package with massage seats, adjustable leg rests, foldable tables and wellness modes. An augmented reality head-up display is also available as an option.

Safety Features

The Peaq comes with a long list of safety features.

It gets 10 airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and auto park assist.

Another interesting addition is the washer system integrated into the wipers, making it the first Skoda model to get this feature.

India Launch Under Evaluation

Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the Peaq is being evaluated for the Indian market.

If approved, the electric SUV is expected to arrive as a completely built unit (CBU). It will take on premium electric SUVs like the Kia EV9 and could become Skoda's flagship electric offering in India.

There is no official launch timeline yet, but the Peaq shows Skoda's plans to expand its global EV portfolio with larger and more premium models.
