Skoda Peaq EV global debut scheduled for June 23. Flagship electric SUV offers over 600 km claimed range. India launch under consideration by Skoda Auto India.
Skoda may soon bring its biggest electric SUV to India. The all-new Skoda Peaq is set to make its global debut on June 23, 2026, and the company has indicated that the flagship EV is being considered for the Indian market.
If launched, the Peaq would become the largest and most premium electric vehicle in Skoda's lineup in India.
Speaking about the Peaq's India prospects, Skoda Auto India Brand Director Ashish Gupta said the SUV is on the company's radar.
According to Gupta, the focus is on bringing a well-equipped premium product rather than offering a basic version at a high price. He also revealed that Skoda's ambition is to have its global portfolio represented in India in the coming years.
While there is no official launch timeline yet, the Peaq appears to be one of the strongest candidates from Skoda's global EV range for the Indian market.

Skoda already sells several electric models globally, including the Epiq, Elroq and Enyaq. However, these models may face challenges in India due to pricing and positioning.
The Peaq, on the other hand, could serve as a flagship model that helps strengthen Skoda's EV image in the country. It could also pave the way for future locally developed electric vehicles that are expected to arrive later.
Skoda has confirmed that work on a local EV strategy is underway, although a locally produced electric model is still some time away.
The Skoda Peaq will be offered internationally in three variants - 60, 90 and 90x.
Battery options will include 63kWh and 91kWh packs. The top-spec 90x variant gets a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 299 hp.
The lower variants use a single rear-mounted electric motor with power outputs of up to 286 hp.
Skoda claims the Peaq can deliver a driving range of more than 600 km, depending on the version. The SUV also supports DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80 percent charge in around 27 to 28 minutes.
The Peaq will be a full-size electric SUV with three rows of seating and a strong focus on practicality and technology.
It is expected to offer modern design elements, a spacious cabin, advanced connected features, and the latest safety technologies. The SUV will sit at the top of Skoda's global EV portfolio and could play a key role in showcasing the brand's electric ambitions.
While Skoda has not officially confirmed the Peaq for India, recent comments from the company suggest that the flagship EV is under serious consideration.
With a claimed range of over 600 km, fast-charging capability, and premium positioning, the Peaq could become an important addition to Skoda's future plans in India if it gets the green light.
