New Skoda Epiq EV Debuts Soon - Big Details Out

Skoda Epiq EV to debut on May 19, 2026. Offers up to 425 km range and modern interior. Compact SUV based on MEB+ platform.

Skoda Auto is set to unveil the all-new Skoda Epiq on May 19, 2026. The Epiq will be the brand’s smallest electric SUV, positioned below the Elroq, and is expected to play a key role in Skoda’s future EV lineup.

Built on New EV Platform

The Skoda Epiq is based on the MEB+ platform, which it shares with the Volkswagen ID Polo.

This platform is designed for compact electric vehicles and focuses on efficiency, packaging, and modern technology.

Minimalist Interior with Smart Features

Skoda has revealed interior design sketches showing a clean and simple cabin layout.

The SUV gets a large central touchscreen, a compact digital driver display, and physical controls for climate settings.

It is expected to feature wireless charging and ambient lighting, along with enough space to comfortably seat five passengers. Boot space is rated at 475 litres, making it practical for everyday use.

Modern Exterior Design

The Epiq adopts a fresh design language with a ‘Tech Deck’ front face and T-shaped LED daytime running lights that also function as indicators.

It measures around 4.1 metres in length, placing it in the compact SUV category. The profile includes black body cladding and roof rails, while the rear features T-shaped tail-lamps and a roof spoiler.

Range and Battery Options

Skoda claims a driving range of up to 425 km for the Epiq. Although full specifications are yet to be revealed, it is expected to use 34 kWh and 54 kWh battery packs, similar to its Volkswagen sibling.

India Launch Possibility

While there is no official confirmation for India, the Epiq could be a strong contender if introduced here. It would compete with models like the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, Maruti e Vitara and Tata Curvv EV.
