Skoda Slavia facelift has been spotted testing again. Fresh spy shots reveal new design and cabin details. Launch is expected later this year.

The upcoming Skoda Slavia facelift has been spotted testing once again, giving us a better look at what to expect from the updated sedan. The latest spy shots reveal fresh details about the exterior and even offer a small glimpse of the cabin, although much of the dashboard remains covered under camouflage.

The updated Slavia is expected to launch later this year with design changes, new features and a mechanical update.

Fresh Styling on the Outside

The overall shape of the Slavia remains unchanged, but the front and rear sections are heavily camouflaged, suggesting these areas will receive the biggest updates.

At the front, the facelift is expected to get a redesigned grille inspired by the Kushaq facelift, along with a revised bumper and updated LED headlamps. Skoda could also introduce new LED lighting signatures, and there is a possibility of a connected light element across the front.

At the rear, the sedan is likely to receive redesigned tail-lamps and a new bumper. Reports also suggest that illuminated Skoda branding or a connected lighting element could be introduced, although this has not been confirmed.

The test car was seen with steel wheels, but the production version is expected to get a fresh design for its alloy wheels.

Cabin Could Get More Tech

The latest spy images also reveal part of the cabin. While the dashboard remains covered, the overall layout looks similar to the current model.

The facelift is expected to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated digital instrument cluster and improved connected car technology. Skoda could also introduce new upholstery and interior trim finishes to give the cabin a fresher look.

Other features such as ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, a powered driver's seat and a premium sound system are expected to continue.

New Automatic Gearbox Expected

Under the hood, the Skoda Slavia is expected to continue with the existing 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines.

The biggest mechanical update could be a new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre TSI engine, replacing the current automatic option. The engine will continue to produce 116 PS and 178 Nm.

The more powerful 1.5-litre TSI engine, which develops 150 PS and 250 Nm, is expected to continue with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Launch Expected Later This Year

The refreshed Skoda Slavia is expected to arrive later this year. With updated styling, a more feature-rich cabin and a possible new automatic gearbox, the facelift aims to strengthen the sedan's position against rivals like the Hyundai Verna and Honda City.
