Tata Motors has officially launched the long-awaited Harrier EV at an introductory price tag of Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). Bookings for the electric SUV will commence from July 2, 2025.
The Tata Harrier EV directly rivals the Mahindra BE 6 and the XEV 9e. It is available with two battery packs - 65kWh and 75kWh - with later having quad wheel drive (QWD) layout. Tata Motors has only released the price and features of the entry-level Adventure Persona variant.

It is packed with a 65kWh battery with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor rated at 235bhp. This model can offer an ARAI certified range of up to 627km. It supports fast charging with 120kW DC fast charger. The battery can achieve 20 to 80% charging status in just 25 minutes. Moreover, the 250km range can be added in just 15 minutes.
It offers multiple Terrain modes including Normal, Wet/Rain and Rough Road, and drive modes - Sport, City and Eco. This variant also gets Drift mode, paddle shifters for Regan modes, cruise control, acoustic vehicle alert system (AVAS), low rolling resistance tyres and electric power steering.

The Harrier EV is 2mm longer, 210mm wider and 22mm taller than the ICE-powered Harrier. However, both models ride on the same 2,741mm wheelbase. This electric SUV is based on the Acti.ev+ architecture, which uses high strength steels and claims to offer unmatched protection.
The Harrier EV 65kWh version comes with a single motor on the rear axle, which is claimed to offer produces 235bhp. In the higher trims, the SUV gets a 75kWh LFP battery with dual motors - one for each axle. The front axle-mounted motor produces 235bhp, while the rear axle mounted motor produces 156bhp. The SUV is claimed to offer an instantaneous torque of 504Nm. The SUV accelerates to 100kmph from zero in just 6.3 seconds.
