Tata Harrier EV to get 60 kWh battery A dual-motor setup with AWD likely to be on offer Will use the Punch EV's Acti.EV architecture
Tata Motors is preparing to expand its EV portfolio by launching new electric SUVs. Earlier it was reported that Tata Curvv EV could be launched by this festive season. Now, the automaker has also confirmed the launch of a new Tata Harrier EV by March 2025.
Visually, the Harrier EV will look quite similar to its ICE-powered SUV. That being said, the electric Harrier sports a unique front fascia featuring a blanked-out grille.
Inside, the EV will likely offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rotary drive mode selector, a digital instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof.
The electric version of the Harrier SUV will be based on the Land Rover-derived Omega platform which is heavily re-engineered to support the electric powertrain. The ICE-powered Harrier also uses the same platform. Besides, it will use Tata’s Acti.ev architecture, like the Tata Punch EV and the upcoming Currv EV.
As for the specifications, there is no valid information regarding the battery details. However, the rumours suggest that the Harrier EV could get dual electric motors with an AWD setup. The electric SUV is expected to be powered by a 60 kWh battery pack which could offer a range of 500 km on a single charge.
