Stealth Edition is priced Rs 25.10 lakh–26.50 lakh Dark Edition is priced Rs 19.15 lakh–26.25 lakh. Both have blacked-out exterior components and 19-inch wheels. Both provide a 12.3-inch touchscreen and 360-degree camera. Same 2.0-litre diesel engine, with 167.67 bhp power and 350 Nm torque. Stealth Edition is produced in a limited run of 2,700 units.
Tata has rolled out two special variants of its highly popular SUV, the Harrier – the Dark Edition and the recently launched Stealth Edition. The Dark Edition was already available, whereas the Tata Harrier Stealth Edition was formally released on February 21, 2025, in conjunction with the commemoration of 27 years of the Tata Safari brand. Both edition were first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025 on January 17, 2025. Both editions feature special styling, performance, and features. In case you are unsure which one to opt for, here's a comparison between the two.
The Tata Harrier Stealth Edition price varies between Rs 25.10 lakh and Rs 26.50 lakh. On the other hand, the Tata Harrier Dark Edition price is less and varies between Rs 19.15 lakh and Rs 26.25 lakh.
Both the Stealth and Dark variants have some similar design elements. Both feature a blacked-out grille, bumper, and skid plate. Blacked-out door handles and body-coloured ORVMs can be seen on both variants. The front face has elements like the integrated LED DRLs, headlamps, and HID fog lamps, all of which are similar.
The biggest difference lies in the wheels. Both cars get 19-inch blacked-out alloy wheels, but the Stealth Edition gets new wheels. Both cars get the 'Stealth' and 'Dark' fender badges, but the Stealth Edition is a bit more special with its new matte black color for the body. The rear profiles of both SUVs are identical with blacked-out bumpers and LED taillamps integrated into them.
Internally, both models offer state-of-the-art features, but with slight differences. The Dark Edition has some chrome trim on the interior, like the door handles, which are all black in the Stealth Edition. Both models get black leatherette seat upholstery.
Both share a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch digital driver display, dual-zone auto air con with rear air vents, powered tailgate, rain-sensing wipers, and front ventilated seats.
In terms of safety, both feature a 360-degree camera, up to 7 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounting points, traction control, and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Both the Stealth and Dark variants share the same powertrain as the standard Harrier. Both the Stealth and Dark variants come with a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The engine churns out 167.67 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 7-speed automatic transmission (AT) can be opted for by the customer.
Both share the same driving experience with the same engine and spec. The two differ in the appearance and cost. The Stealth Edition, having a limited matte black color and new wheels, is desired by those seeking a better premium feel and look. However, the Dark Edition is cheaper and also has a blighted look accompanied by a bit more stylish appearance with additional chrome trim.
If you prefer something more unique in design with a lower number of units (only 2,700 units for Stealth Edition), then the Stealth Edition might be ideal. But if you prefer something less expensive but still with high-end functionalities, the Dark Edition might be best for you.
At the end of the day, it simply boils down to your budget and which of the design aspects you like better. The two versions have the same performance and core features, so either would be a decent model in the Harrier line.
