If you’re planning to purchase a Tata Nexon EV or a Curvv EV, as a first owner, you can avail yourself of the benefit of a free charging offer. Tata Motors has introduced an attractive deal for customers who purchase either of these two EVs between 9th December and 31st December 2024. Customers need to register their EV on Tata Power EZ Charge’s mobile app to activate this service, which takes a maximum of two days. It is important to note that the registered vehicle on the app must be privately registered and purchased from a dealership.
Under this scheme, new EV buyers will have access to 1,000 units of free electricity or six months of free charging from the date of purchase, whichever comes first. After this period, owners will need to pay the standard charging tariff. This free charging offer is applicable at Tata Power EZ charging stations across the nation, and only the first owners of the EV will be eligible to avail themselves of it.
Prices for the Tata Nexon EV start at Rs 12.49 lakh and go up to Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Currently, the electric SUV is available in two variants – MR and LR – equipped with 30kWh and 40.5kWh batteries, respectively. Tata claims that the MR version offers a range of 325km (ARAI-certified), while the LR model delivers a range of 465km. Both battery options come with a 7.2kW AC charger, which takes 4.3 hours for the MR and 6 hours for the LR to charge from 10 to 100 percent. The Nexon EV also features V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) and V2L (vehicle-to-load) charging capabilities.
The Tata Curvv EV is available in five trims – Creative, Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A – and two battery pack options: 45kWh and 55kWh. The 45kWh battery is claimed to deliver an electric range of 502km, while the 55kWh battery promises 585km on a single charge. The smaller battery pack is offered with the Creative, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ S variants, whereas the larger battery pack is available with the Accomplished, Accomplished+ S, Empowered+, and Empowered+ A variants.
