The first-ever Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BMGE) is currently going at the Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. This event marks India's second major mobility exhibition, following the biennial Auto Expo, with a specific focus on emerging sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions.
Among the prominent participants in BMGE is Tata Motors, a key player in the automotive industry. The company has unveiled a lineup of passenger vehicles which include the Nexon i-CNG Concept, Curvv Concept, New Safari Dark Concept, Altroz Racer Concept, Harrier.ev Concept, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev Dark Edition.
Let us take a closer look at what these vehicles have to offer at the exhibition.
One of the most catchy concepts to check out at the Tata Motors stall happens to be the Nexon i-CNG. It is based on the recently updated Nexon SUV.
In terms of design and features, the CNG variant closely resembles its petrol/diesel counterparts. While maintaining the styling of the conventional Nexon, the i-CNG variant will come with a turbocharged twin-cylinder engine and a practical amount of usable boot space.
Upon its launch, the Nexon will stand out as the sole vehicle in India to provide such a comprehensive range of powertrain options - petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric vehicle (EV). Transmission choices would include manual, Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), and Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) choices.
In addition to unveiling the Nexon i-CNG, the brand presented the Harrier.ev, Curvv, and Altroz Racer concepts. The Curvv Coupe is set to be available for purchase later this year, and the Altroz is anticipated to receive an updated look with some features inspired from the Racer Concept. The production version of the Harrier.ev is scheduled to hit the market later this year.
The manufacturer also exhibited the Tata Safari Dark Edition Concept, featuring new design and best-in-segment features.
A Safari-based safety demonstrator was also on showcase. Besides, the passenger car maker put on show Nexon.ev in a Dark Edition avatar, defining its top-notch tech features and powerful performance.
Furthermore, recently Tata Punch.ev also made its appearance based on India's first advanced pure electric architecture - Acti.EV.
