Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch an all-new mid-sized SUV in the country on 3rd September, 2025. Rumoured to be called either Escudo or Victoris, the new Maruti SUV will be sold exclusively through ARENA dealership network. Ahead of the official launch, MSIL has released the first teaser of its upcoming all-new midsize SUV.
The teaser reveals that the upcoming Maruti midsize SUV will come with a sharply designed LED tail-lights with 3D lighting effect that also has a central brake lamp and turn indicators.

The new Maruti SUV will be the new flagship ARENA SUV. It will be positioned between the Brezza and the Grand Vitara. The new SUV is estimated to be priced somewhere between Rs 10.5 lakh and Rs 18.5 lakh, ex-showroom.
It will come as an affordable alternative to the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate and others in the category. The company will target masses with its vast 3000+ ARENA dealers. MSIL will target customers looking to buy a midsize SUV, but do not want Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos or even Maruti Grand Vitara.
The Escudo will be equipped with several high-end features, which are currently not available in any of the Maruti model. The SUV will come with LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, auto high beam and others.
The SUV is also reportedly to get a Dolby Atmos sound system for an immersive sound experience and a powered tailgate. It is expected that the upcoming Escudo or Victoris could get AWD drivetrain. Other expected features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger, automatic AC, ambient lighting, multiple airbags, ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.
It is reported that the upcoming Maruti Escudo SUV will be the first model to feature an underbody CNG tank. This will help Maruti Suzuki to offer full-size boot to owners. Adding to it, the new ARENA SUV is likely to be longer than the Grand Vitara and will have a bigger boot.
The new Maruti ARENA SUV will be based on the Suzuki’s Global-C platform that also underpins the Grand Vitara. It will come with three engine choices - a 103bhp, 1.5L petrol with a mild-hybrid tech, a 116bhp, 1.5L Atkinson cycle strong hybrid and an 88bhp, 1.5L petrol with a CNG kit.
