Mahindra has revealed pricing for the 2022 Scorpio Classic; Will be sold in two variants; Get refreshed styling and powertrain options
Just days after the unveiling of the OG Scorpio in a new avatar, Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the pricing for the Scorpio Classic at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Available only in select trim levels, the four-wheeler features refreshed design and enhanced performance to carry forward the legacy of this iconic nameplate.
Available only in two variants, S and S11, the Scorpio Classic features an updated design while still maintaining the butch upright stance, that the people have come to love. Updates to the exterior are limited to a new front grille, new logo and an updated design to the R17 alloy wheel. The interiors also get a fresh breath of air with new dual-tone beige-black finish along with a new infotainment unit.
In terms of pricing, the base S trim is priced at Rs. 11.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) and gets LED Tail Lamps, 2nd Row AC Vents, Hydraulic Assisted Bonnet, Dual Airbags and Micro Hybrid Tech as standard. For an extra Rs 3.5 lakh customers can opt for the top-of-the-line S11 which get a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, LED DRLs, diamond cut alloy wheels, spoiler and front arm rest.
The base variant of the Scorpio Classic is Rs 50,000 cheaper than the entry level Scorpio N diesel. Mahindra is offering the four-wheeler in 5 distinctive body colour options Red Rage, Napoli Black, Dsat Silver, Pearl White and a new Galaxy Grey.
Powering the Scorpio Classic is a 2.2-litre Gen2 mHawk diesel engine, producing 132 horses and 300 Nm. The homegrown automaker has re-tuned the engine to produce a major chunk (230 Nm) of its torque at 1000 rpm. The updated powertrain unit is lighter and more fuel efficient than before.
