Skoda Auto India is preparing to give mid-life upgrades to its popular cars, Including the Kushaq and the Slavia. The Kushaq facelift will first arrive in our market sometime in early 2026, most probably by March. The 2026 Skoda Kushaq facelift will embrace the brand’s new “Modern Solid” design language.
The Kushaq facelift is expected to receive significant design changes, featuring an all-new front fascia. It will have a new grille, new headlamp setup and a revised bumper. The rear will have a new connected LED tail-lights and a reworked lower bumper. It is likely to get newly designed alloy wheels and an enhanced body cladding to add rugged feel.
The current Skoda Kushaq is already one of the safest SUVs in its segment; received 5-star Global-NCAP safety rating. However, it still misses out on some of the features that are accessible in most of its rivals. The biggest addition in the Kushaq facelift will be a LEVEL 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The ADAS tech will include features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, auto high beam and others.
The cabin is also likely to receive several design and tech upgrades. It is likely to get a 360-degree surround view camera, and a larger digital driver’s display. The SUV could get a redesigned dashboard and new upholstery for seats and door trims. The existing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit will be upgraded with a new user interface. It is also likely to get a more premium sound system. Also See - Skoda Slavia - all details
The Skoda Kushaq facelift won’t receive any major changes under the hood. It will continue to be offered with the existing 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol and 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol engine. If media reports are to be believed, the existing 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox could be replaced with a new 8-speed unit. The new gearbox will improve the overall fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
