Taigun facelift launch on April 9 Design and Interior changes

The long-awaited 2026 Volkswagen Taigun facelift will finally go on sale in the Indian market tomorrow. Production of the SUV has already been commenced at the brand’s Chakan-based plant in Pune. Volkswagen has already released the exterior images of the new Taigun, which shows the key changes; however, the interiors will be revealed at the tie of the launch. 


Taigun Facelift Estimated Price


The existing Volkswagen Taigun is available in the price bracket of Rs 11.42 lakh to Rs 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect the new Taigun facelift will cost somewhere between Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19 lakh. It will rival against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara, and others in the segment, 


Engine Options


Taigun facelift production begins


The Taigun facelift will continue to be offered with the 1.0L and 1.5L direct-injection turbo-petrol engine options. The former is a three-cylinder engine that produces 115hp and 178Nm of torque, while the 4-cylinder 1.5L engine churns out 150hp and 250Nm of torque. The 1.5L unit will retain the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox; however, the 1.0L TSI engine will get a new 8-speed torque converter automatic unit alongside a 6-speed manual gearbox.
