We reported earlier that the much-awaited Mahindra Thar Roxx will be launched on August 15, 2024. Ahead of the official launch, Mahindra will reveal the production version of the SUV tomorrow. The homegrown UV maker has already released multiple teasers, revealing its exterior and interior highlights.

It will be offered with two engine options - a 2.2-litre turbo diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol. The turbo diesel engine offers two states of tunes - 150bhp with 350Nm, and 172bhp with 370Nm. On the other hand, the petrol engine also reportedly offers two states of tunes - 160bhp with 330Nm, and a 175bhp with 380Nm. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
- It is based on the modified version of Mahindra's new 3G architecture, which debuted in the Scorpio N. Not just platform, the SUV will get 'Frequency Dependent Damping' technology that is available in the Scorpio N.
- It will come with an independent front suspension setup with double wishbones and a multilink rear setup with Watts linkage. The SUV has a water wading capacity of 650mm.
- The Thar Roxx comes with Mahindra's 4Xplor off-road setup, which comes with an electronic brake locking differential (E-BLD) and an electronic locking differential (ELD). A traditional lever is added for 2H, 4H and 4L modes, while multiple terrain modes will be on offer such as Snow, Sand and Mud.
- It also comes with Crawl Smart Assist and Intelli Turn Assist functions, which further aids off-road abilities. Read more here..

- In terms of features, the Thar Roxx gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a digital driver's display, Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, leatherette seats and others.
