MG Motor has revealed the all-new MG ZS Hybrid+ in the European markets. The 2025 MG Astor comes with design and interior changes along with new powertrain. In the international markets, the ZS is launched as the Hybrid+. For people not in the know, MG Motor India is selling the ZS SUV as the Astor. Adding to it, an electric version of the mid-sized SUV, called the ZS EV is also available in our market.
The all new MG ZS Hybrid+ is offered with two trim levels - SE and Trophy. In the UK, MG Motor is offering 7 year/ 80,000-mile manufacturer's warranty and a network of over 160 dealers.
The all-new MG Astor comes with a full LED lighting system, a 12.3-inch HD infotainment display with navigation and a 7-inch virtual driver display. It sports a reverse camera, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers and keyless entry.
MG Motor is offering the ADAS suite, called the MG Pilot as standard with the SUV. The ADAS tech features include adaptive cruise control, active emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, forward collision warning, blind spot detection, and traffic jam assist.
The SUV rides on new 18-inch 'Sabre' alloy wheels. It gets rear privacy glass, heated front seats and steering wheel, a 6-way electrically-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and a 36-degree surround view camera.
The hybrid setup consists of a 102PS, 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 136PS/250Nm traction motor. The combined power output stands at 196PS. The SUV is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in just 8.7 seconds. It is packed with a 1.83kWh high-voltage battery, which is recharged by a high-efficiency 45kW generator. The new MG ZS Hybrid is claimed to offer a fuel efficiency of 23.55kmpl (WLTP) and low CO2 emission of 115g/km.
The new-gen ZS SUV comes with a more aggressive front fascia, featuring a redesigned large grille. The re-profiled bumper has wider and vertically designed air dams. It sports a full-width light bar connecting the revised headlamp unit, which also has sleek LED DRLs. The MG Logo is now positioned on the bonnet.
The side profile looks largely identical to the previous model except for the newly styled alloy wheels. At the back, the all-new MG ZS or the Astor gets a restyled bumper and redesigned tail-lamps. The MG logo is now positioned on the tailgate. It comes with restyled rear spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, and a rear wiper.
Inside the cabin, the new Astor gets a new dashboard layout that house a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, redesigned air con vents and a 7-inch digital driver's display. It comes with a new multi-functional steering wheel and a restyled centre console with a new gear lever.
