This is undoubtedly the best time to buy a new electric vehicle (EV) as carmakers roll out a lot of discounts and offers during the festive season. From MG to Tata, here is a list of attractive EVs that you should check out.
With the new BaaS program, MG Comet EV is now available at Rs 4.99 lakh and its battery rental costs Rs 2.5/km. This has reduced the vehicle's pricing by a massive Rs 2 lakh (excluding the battery cost) as earlier it was priced between Rs 6.99 lakh and Rs 9.53 lakh, ex-showroom.
Tata Punch EV is good for anyone who wants a small size car which is good for daily drives like going to the office and weekend trips. Like the electric Nexon, the Punch EV has a 5 star safety rating. It has a maximum range of 421 kilometres, with prices ranging from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.29 lakh.
The bestselling Tata Nexon EV was updated with a bigger 45kWh battery pack with a range of 489 kilometres. It also gets a panoramic sunroof and a Red Dark edition as part of the recent update. The Tata Nexon EV is one of the safest SUVs on sale. Prices for the base Creative variant start at Rs 12.49 lakh, ex-showroom.
For those looking for a spacious electric MPV with comfortable seats, the MG Windsor EV can be a great option. With MG’s BaaS scheme, you can buy the EV for Rs 9.99 lakh but will have to pay a minimum battery rent of Rs 3.5 per kilometre. MG has also partnered with 4 finance providers with attractive loan options that you can consider.
With a price cut of up to Rs 9 lakh, the BYD Atto 3 now starts at Rs 24.99 lakh. The base variant comes with a 49.92kWh battery pack that gives out a range of 468 kilometres. The 0-80% charging time is only 50 minutes with a DC fast charger.
