Chinese manufacturer, BYD has launched its performance electric sedan, Seal in India at Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the e-Plaform 3.0 with Cell-To-Body (CTB) technology, it provides increased space, improved safety, and enhanced performance. Bookings are ongoing at a token amount of Rs 1.25 lakh.
In terms of dimensions, the sedan measures 4,800 mm in length, 1,875 mm in width, and 1,460 mm in height having a wheelbase of 2,920mm.
Talking about the looks, the Seal EV follows BYD's "Ocean Aesthetics" design language. It showcases flowing dynamic body lines, features double-U floating LED headlights, glistening ripple lamps, electronic hidden flush door handles, 19-inch wheels, and full-width LED taillight.
On the inside, it boasts a luxurious and spacious interior with a sophisticated Thaumas Black theme. Its front seats offer ventilation. There are bolstered sports seats in the front and rear.
This sedan showcases a state-of-the-art intelligent cockpit featuring a 15.6-inch rotating screen, a heads-up display, an intuitive electric tailgate, a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, vehicle-to-load charging capabilities, a silver-plated panoramic sunroof, and much more.
In terms of safety, it is equipped with top-notch features such as 9 airbags, a front view camera for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Brake.
The newly launched Seal is available with two battery packs and three variant choices in total. The Dynamic Range has a 61.4 kWh battery pack while the Premium and Performance Range are equipped with 82.5 kWh battery.
As for different configurations, you can choose between Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel-Drive (AWD).
Customers can personalize their BYD Seal with a selection of four stunning exterior colours: Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Arctic Blue.
It is available in 3 variants; Dynamic, Premium, and Performance. The ex-showroom prices for each variant are as follows:
BYD Seal Dynamic: Rs 41 Lakh
BYD Seal Premium: Rs 45.55 Lakh
BYD Seal Performance: Rs 53 Lakh
