Skoda Slavia facelift shows off new rear design and updated tail lights. Expect Level-2 ADAS and tech upgrades in the 2026 model. Launch in India likely after Nepal, with a May 2026 release date.
The first-ever images of the Skoda Slavia facelift have surfaced online, revealing the upcoming sedan without any camouflage. However, there's an interesting twist, the teaser images were shared by Skoda Nepal, not Skoda India. So, could the Skoda Slavia facelift launch in Nepal before India, despite being manufactured here? Let’s take a closer look at what’s happening and what we can expect from the new Slavia.

Skoda has officially teased the Slavia facelift, offering a clear look at the updated sedan. This is the first time we’re seeing the car in its full glory, without any disguise. The Slavia has been a key part of Skoda’s INDIA 2.0 strategy, developed specifically for the Indian market using the MQB A0 IN platform. While it’s been available in India, it’s also exported to other countries, including Nepal and Vietnam.
The facelifted Slavia brings several significant changes that could make it appear more like a new-generation model rather than just a facelift. One of the most noticeable updates is to the sheet metal around the doors, giving the car a more distinct, bold look.

The design of the Skoda Slavia facelift has undergone several revisions. At the rear, we see a new tail light design with stylish LED turn indicators positioned below the revised LED tail light signature. The SKODA lettering between the tail lights has also been enlarged, giving the back of the car a more modern look. The rear bumper has been redesigned as well, removing the chrome strip between the reflectors, while introducing a new design element that resembles twin exhausts to add a sportier touch to the overall design.
In terms of alloy wheels, the new Slavia facelift will feature a redesigned set that complements the updated exterior styling. On the sides, the character lines that were prominent on the current model have been replaced with a stronger, more defined line running above the door handles. While there’s no mention of a panoramic sunroof in the images, it’s possible that the facelifted model could include this feature, although it’s not confirmed.
Skoda Slavia facelift is set to bring several new features, especially in terms of safety and technology. One of the most notable upgrades is expected to be the inclusion of Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). In addition to ADAS, the interior is likely to receive an update, with the addition of a larger digital driver’s display.
The Slavia facelift is also expected to retain its popular 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI turbo-petrol engines, which have been well-received for their balance of power and fuel efficiency. These engine options are expected to carry over into the new model, maintaining the Slavia’s performance while delivering excellent efficiency.
While it’s interesting to see Skoda Nepal releasing teaser images ahead of India, it’s expected that India will be the first to see the official launch. Skoda Slavia facelift is set to be manufactured at Skoda’s facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, so it’s highly likely that India will get the facelifted model first.
Sources suggest that the Skoda Slavia facelift could be launched in the first half of 2026, with May 2026 being a potential launch window. As the launch date approaches, more details about the price and features will likely be revealed, giving us a better idea of what to expect from the new Slavia.
