Jeep has revealed a special Anniversary Edition of the Compass to celebrate eight years of the SUV in India. This limited-edition model comes with design updates and extra accessories to make it stand out from the regular version. You can book the Anniversary Edition either online or at Jeep dealerships. The limited edition model is priced at Rs 25.26 lakh.
The Anniversary Edition comes with a special dual-tone decal on the bonnet and a red highlight on the sixth slot of the front grille. Inside, it features red seat covers and includes accessories like a built-in dashcam and ambient white lighting. Its other design elements resemble the donor Longitude (O) variant. Notably, Jeep hasn’t mentioned if this edition will be available with all trims or just a specific one.
It is powered by a 2-litre diesel engine that produces 170bhp and 350Nm of torque. Jeep offers two transmission options with the sub-compact SUV: a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic. Jeep hasn't yet confirmed if the Anniversary Edition will come with both gearbox options. The SUV comes with front-wheel drive as standard, while the higher-end Model S (O) gets an optional four-wheel drive (4WD) setup.
The Compass range starts at Rs 18.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 32.41 lakh, ex-showroom. Rivals include the Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen Tiguan, Mahindra XUV700, Tata Harrier and Citroen C5 Aircross.
