Mahindra Teases Advanced Features Ahead of Debuting the Born Electric Line-up

New teaser video reveals advanced features coming to the electric SUVs; Expected to come with a slew of customisation options; Global unveil on 15th August 2022.

Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing the ground for the global unveiling of its upcoming Born Electric SUVs on 15th August. India’s largest SUV manufacturer has shared another teaser revealing some interesting details about the advanced tech features coming to its all-electric SUV line-up. Earlier, the brand had dropped a teaser revealing the silhouette of its BEVs.

Going by the teaser, the new EVs will get loads of modern tech features including advanced connectivity options, customisation options for seat adjustment and a climate control system among other bits. The initial shots in the teaser reveals an all-digital driver’s instrument cluster with speed and the gear position indicator placed in the centre of the screen one below the other. The EVs are expected to come with a dedicated sports mode along with all the regular drive modes.

Digging further, we get some information about the latest update to the AdrenoX infotainment system. The unit is set to get an all-new interface and will be used as the control centre for climate control, seat adjustment, ambient light adjustment, setting music preference and more. This also hints at the presence of a personalized user profiles feature which lets users create custom profiles based on their preference.

Mahindra has not revealed any technical specifications about the upcoming EVs. Designed at Mahindra’s Advanced Design Studio in the UK under the leadership of Pratap Bose, all these vehicles will be ground up EVs expected to hit the market by 2025.

Earlier, Mahindra had announced the incorporation of its new subsidiary ‘EV Co’, aimed at the development of new all-electric vehicles with advanced tech for global markets. Mahindra has already raised an investment of Rs 1925 crores from British International Investment (BII) for this entity.

Along with this, the company has also signed an agreement with the Volkswagen Group in order to share components used in electric vehicles such as platform, motors, battery management systems and battery cells.
