Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 Prices Out - Diesel Only

Mahindra has finally released the prices of the much-awaited 4x4 variants of the Thar Roxx lifestyle SUV in India. The Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 price in India starts at Rs 18.79 lakh for the MX5 MT variant and goes up to Rs 22.49 lakh for the top-spec AX7 L AT.

Note - the 4x4 drivetrain is only offered with the diesel engine. The petrol version is only available with a 4x2 drivetrain. The Thar Roxx 4x2 range starts at Rs 12.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.49 lakh. 

Mahindra Thar Roxx 4x4 Variant-Wise Prices

The Thar Roxx 4x4 versions are priced around Rs 1.8-2 lakh higher than the equivalent 4x2 variants. Except for the 4x4 drivetrain, the Thar Roxx 4WD shares all its features and other details with the equivalent 4x2 variant. The Thar Roxx sits right between the Thar 3-door and the Scorpio N, which are priced at Rs 11.35 lakh - 17.60 lakh, and Rs 13.85 lakh - Rs 24.54 lakh, respectively. 

The Mahindra Thar Roxx MX5 4x4 MT variant is priced at Rs 18.79 lakh, while the AX7L Diesel 4x4 MT is tagged at Rs 20.99 lakh. On the other hand, the automatic AX5L 4x4 is tagged at Rs 20.99 lakh while the AX7L diesel 4x4 AT is priced at Rs 22.49 lakh. All the prices are ex-showroom. 

What's Under The Hood?

The Thar Roxx 4x4 is powered by a single 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 175bhp and 370Nm of torque. The same powertrain with 4x2 version offers 152hp and 330Nm of torque. 

The Thar Roxx is also offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This engine is tuned to offer two states of tunes - 162hp and 330Nm with manual, and 177hp and 380Nm with automatic gearbox. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque convertor automatic. 

Bookings for the Thar Roxx will commence from October 3, 2024, while deliveries are expected to begin from October 12, 2024. Interested customers can visit their nearby authorized Mahindra dealerships to book their slot for test drives. New Thar Roxx has seven exterior colour options. These include Deep Forest, Tango Red, Everest White, Battleship Grey, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black, and Burnt Sienna.
