Maruti Suzuki to Launch 7 New SUVs in the Next 3 Years

Maruti Suzuki to launch 9 new models, including 7 SUVs in the next 3 years Annual production target stands at 2.82 million Second all-electric vehicle will be a new MPV, codenamed YMC

In a bid to regain lost market share, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch 9 new products, including 7 SUVs in the next three years in India. The company is targeting 2.82 million vehicles production in the financial year 2027, that’s 22% higher than the previous fiscal year. MSIL is aiming to achieve sales growth of more than 10 per cent in the current financial year despite supply-chain disruptions and cost pressures due to the conflict in West Asia.

The planned output would be the sharpest annual production increase in recent years on a high base. In FY2026, Maruti Suzuki produced 2.31 million vehicles, contributing to around 42% of total passenger vehicles production in India. MSIL had dispatched 1.82 million units in the domestic market and exported 443,825 vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki has ramped up production of the small cars. MSIL claims that the small cars have come back in demand post the GST cut. The company is looking at equal volumes of SUVs and hatchbacks in the current financial year, that’s FY26-27.

In the current financial year, Maruti Suzuki will be launching the updated versions of its existing models. The major all-new products from the company will start arriving from next financial year. The company will be introducing its second EV - the electric MPV internally codenamed YMC based on the e-Vitara platform.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to give mid-life update to its popular SUVs, including the Fronx, Grand Vitara and the Brezza. Moreover, the company is developing a new micro SUV and an all-new 7-seater SUV for the Indian market. The new micro SUV will be positioned below the Fronx, and will rival the Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.
