Based on top Savvy variant Gets blacked-out exterior and interior Powered by 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor
MG Motor India has just revealed the first teaser of the upcoming MG Astor Black Storm edition ahead of its launch tomorrow. While it will remain mechanically similar to the regular model, MG will offer a number of cosmetic updates both inside and outside on the new limited edition Astor.

The new MG Astor Black Storm offers a unique Starry Black exterior colour along with an all-new blacked-out front grille. Also new to the car are the gloss black alloy wheels and red brake callipers. Similar to the MG Gloster Black Storm, the new Astor will also wear Black Storm badges on the front fenders.
Moving inside, the new Black Edition model is expected to feature a full black cabin with red highlights on the seats, dashboard and door handles. Since it is based on the Astor’s top Savvy trim level, the Black Edition will come loaded with features like a 10.1-inch infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, wireless charging, auto climate control, ambient lighting, electric sunroof, and more.
While MG Motors is yet to reveal the powertrain specs, the 2023 Astor Black Storm edition will likely be offered with the 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine. It pumps out 138 bhp with 220 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Expect MG Astor Black Storm Edition to be priced at a slight premium over the Savvy trim, which retails at Rs 18.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Astor Black Storm edition will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition, Škoda Kushaq Matte Edition, Kia Seltos X Line, and the Maruti Grand Vitara Midnight Black.
