MG Motor India is preparing to launch its next electric car - the Cloud EV. Globally, this EV is sold under the Wuling brand. But, for the Indian customers, it will be called Windsor Electric CUV, confirmed by MG. The brand has also released a teaser, hinting at its sharp design features. Let’s dig more!
A few days ago, MG teased the upcoming Windsor/Cloud EV, showcasing its front fascia. It features an illuminated MG logo, LED light bar and sleek LED DRLs. It is believed that the CUV will have the design inspiration from the global-spec Cloud EV.
Other expected exterior design features include a new set of aerodynamically designed wheels, LED tail lamps connected by the light bar, a prominent quarter glass area, and more.
Inside, the CUV is likely to get a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable front seats, a large touchscreen infotainment, all-digital instrument cluster, automatic AC, and Level 2 ADAS.
MG Windsor EV battery details are yet to be revealed. The global model gets two battery packs. While the smaller 37kWh battery pack offers a range of 360 km, the larger 50.6kWh unit can deliver 460km.
Dubbed a CUV, the MG Windsor EV is likely to be priced at around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). As for the rivals, it will give competition to the Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Nexon EV.
