MG Motor India has expanded the ZS EV lineup with the introduction of the Excite Pro variant. It is positioned as a mid-spec option. Priced at Rs 19.98 lakh (ex-showroom), this addition makes the ZS EV the sole all-electric car in India under Rs 20 lakh boasting a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
The new Excite Pro trim sits between the Executive and Exclusive Plus variants. This should be noted that the brand has revamped the nomenclature across its electric SUV range, with the Excite now replaced by the Excite Pro, the Exclusive upgraded to the Exclusive Plus, and the Exclusive Pro renamed as the Essence.
Additionally, the new trim retains over 75 connected features and includes Level 2 ADAS. Notably, it introduces a pioneering digital key feature in its segment, enabling car ignition without the need for a physical key.
The British automaker continues to position its ZS EV lineup competitively in the market, equipping all trims with a consistent 50.3 kWh battery pack. This battery pack delivers an impressive ARAI range of 461 kms, paired with a robust 177 bhp electric motor mounted on the front axle.
With rivals such as the Tata Nexon EV and the refreshed Mahindra XUV400 gaining traction, MG is strategically ensuring its electric vehicle remains appealing to prospective buyers. This commitment to providing ample range and performance underscores MG's determination to maintain its foothold in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle segment.
