Honda City facelift arriving May 22 with updated design and features. New Black colour, LED lights, ventilated seats, and 360-degree camera added. Base petrol starts at Rs 12.5L, hybrid variants up to Rs 23.57L.
Honda City is about to get a mid-life facelift, and the countdown to the May 22, 2026 launch in Delhi has begun. Honda Cars India officially teased the updated sedan on social media, and several units have already reached dealerships. Spy shots from showrooms are now giving us a clear look at what the facelift brings.
Here is everything we know so far about the 2026 Honda City facelift:
Recent images show the City facelift in Black and White, with more colour options expected. The new Black adds a sporty, stealthy appeal to the sedan. The facelift comes with new LED projector headlights featuring eyebrow-like DRLs, a slimmer front grille, and a redesigned front bumper with more black accents. The alloy wheels remain 16-inch, wrapped in 185-section tyres. At the rear, the car gets smoked LED tail lamps, a revised bumper, and an integrated spoiler, giving it a sharper, modern look.

Inside, the facelift focuses on comfort and technology. The ventilated seats now have controls near the single-zone automatic climate system. The centre console remains mostly the same but gains extra cup holders, and the wireless charging pad has been repositioned. The infotainment screen is larger and more prominent, and additional ambient lighting adds a premium feel. The 360-degree camera system is included, with the front camera now visible, while the Lane Watch Assist camera remains on the left side. Perforated seat upholstery allows better ventilation, making the cabin more comfortable.
The 2026 Honda City facelift keeps the same reliable engines as the current model. The standard petrol version uses a 1.5L i-VTEC naturally aspirated engine with 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or CVT. The 1.5L i-MMD e:HEV strong hybrid produces a combined 126 PS and 253 Nm, paired with an e-CVT. Buyers can expect the same dependable performance and fuel efficiency of around 18 km/l for petrol and up to 27 km/l for the hybrid.
The base petrol facelift is expected to start at Rs 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The City e:HEV strong hybrid could begin at Rs 20.50 lakh, while the top-end hybrid may be priced around Rs 23.57 lakh. Experts anticipate a small increase of Rs 20,000-50,000 compared to the outgoing model, reflecting the new styling and interior updates.
