Honda City facelift, City Hybrid and ZR-V launch on May 22 Updated City gets new features and refreshed styling Honda ZR-V SUV to arrive with strong hybrid powertrain
Honda Cars India has officially confirmed a major launch event for May 22, 2026.
The company will introduce the updated Honda City facelift, refreshed City Hybrid, and the all-new Honda ZR-V premium SUV on the same day.
This will be an important launch for Honda as the brand looks to strengthen its position in both the sedan and SUV segments.
The 2026 Honda City facelift will continue with the same overall shape, but Honda is expected to add several new features and design changes.
The sedan could get a sharper front grille, redesigned bumpers, and newly styled 16-inch alloy wheels. These updates are expected to give the City a fresher and slightly sportier look.
Inside the cabin, Honda is likely to offer a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Higher variants may also get features like ventilated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and a 360-degree camera.

Honda will continue offering its Honda Sensing ADAS suite with the City facelift.
The updated system is expected to offer smoother adaptive cruise control and improved lane-keep assist suited for Indian driving conditions.
The City already remains one of the safer sedans in its segment, competing with rivals like the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.
Mechanically, both the standard City and the City Hybrid are expected to remain unchanged.
The regular petrol model will continue with the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine producing 121 hp and 145 Nm. It will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic.
The City Hybrid will continue with Honda’s 1.5-litre e:HEV hybrid setup, producing a combined 126 hp and 253 Nm. It comes paired with an e-CVT gearbox.
Honda is expected to continue positioning the City Hybrid as one of India’s most fuel-efficient sedans, with mileage of over 26 kmpl.
Alongside the updated City models, Honda will also launch the new ZR-V premium SUV in India.
The ZR-V is already sold in global markets and sits between the HR-V and CR-V in Honda’s international SUV lineup.
The SUV gets a modern design with slim LED headlamps, a large grille, and sleek tail-lamps.
In terms of size, it measures 4,568 mm in length and comes with a wheelbase of 2,657 mm, offering good cabin space and road presence.

Inside, the ZR-V gets a premium cabin with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, head-up display, wireless charger, and powered tailgate.
The SUV will also come with Honda Sensing ADAS features including adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist.
Powering the ZR-V will be Honda’s 2.0-litre e:HEV hybrid system with dual electric motors. The setup produces 181 bhp and 315 Nm.
The new SUV is expected to become Honda’s flagship offering in India.
