New XEV 9S - The Electric Version of the XUV700

For anyone familiar with the XUV700, the XEV 9S will be the electric version of this popular SUV. Mahindra has already teased the XUV700 electric launch, and the XEV 9S is set to be the flagship model in the company’s new electric lineup. Mahindra XEV 9S Price Expectations

While Mahindra hasn’t officially revealed the price yet, we expect the XEV 9S to cost more than the XEV 9e due to its larger size and premium features. The XEV 9e is priced between Rs 21.90 lakh and Rs 30.50 lakh, so we can estimate that the XEV 9S will fall in the Rs 25 lakh to Rs 35 lakh range. This will make the XEV 9S Mahindra’s most expensive EV yet, placing it in the high-end electric SUV segment.

Who Will Compete with the XEV 9S?

The XEV 9S will be the first mass-market 3-row electric SUV, so there aren’t many direct competitors, especially in the sub-Rs 50 lakh range. While electric MPVs like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7 are available, they’re not true SUVs, so they aren’t direct rivals.
