As per a certain media report, Hyundai Motor India is expected to introduce the Next-Gen Venue in the year 2025. The second-generation subcompact SUV will continue to sit above the recently launched Exter micro-SUV in the brand’s product lineup. We take a closer look.
Launched back in 2019, the Venue has been a steady and popular seller for Hyundai. The subcompact SUV recently received a mid-life facelift last year, getting both exterior and interior updates.
The Next-Gen Venue (codenamed Q2Xi) which is expected to arrive 2 years from now, is going to be an all-new model. While its overall dimensions of under 4 metres will remain, the upcoming model will feature a completely different exterior design. While details are scarce, expect changes like a new front end with redesigned headlights, grille and bumper while the rear end too will get updated taillights, bumper, and more.
Moving inside, the interior will be completely overhauled. Key highlights are likely to include bigger screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, a redesigned dashboard, and different interior themes among others.
It is believed that the new Venue is going to be the first Hyundai model to roll out from the brand’s new Talegaon Plant. The automaker’s second manufacturing plant will be active by 2025 having a production capacity of 150,000 units.
According to the brand, it will invest around Rs 5,000 crore at the new production facility in the next 10 years. The new plant will help the Korean automaker to reach its target of manufacturing nearly one million units a year. Its Chennai facility already has a capacity of around 820,000 units annually.
