Maruti Suzuki is rolling up its sleeves to launch refreshed versions of the Swift hatchback and Dzire subcompact sedan. A couple of months ago, Next-Gen Swift was spotted testing in India. Following this, 2024 Dzire has now been spied testing for the first time, giving a glimpse of the upcoming model.
Based on the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the New-Gen Dzire will feature similar styling and powertrain options to the hatchback. It is believed that the updated Dzire will launch soon after the new Swift.
Let's look at the exterior design and feature updates of the upcoming Dzire:

Although the test mule was heavily camouflaged, it revealed a few details of the updated Dzire. Based on the spy shot, the overall appeal of the sedan is quite bold and muscular. Upfront, it highlights a distinctive grille and revised headlight setup. The rest of the front profile closely resembles the Swift.

However, from the side, it will feature significant differences. For instance, new front & rear doors, 5-spoke alloy wheel design, and chrome lining along the window line. Towards the rear, it will provide a clamshell bonnet which will make it look robust, setting it apart from its predecessor.
Inside, the new-generation Dzire will share the same set of features as the 2024 Swift. Even the dashboard will remain unchanged. However, some modifications in the centre console are notable.
Besides, the car will provide a larger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, new central AC vents, and a toggle-style automatic climate control panel.
As mentioned earlier, the New Dzire will share similar powertrain options as the Swift. The upcoming Dzire will come equipped with a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine is expected to produce 82 bhp of power output with 108 Nm of peak torque. Further, it is believed that the powertrain will deliver a fuel efficiency figure of 24.5 kmpl.
