Skoda has introduced a new entry-level variant of the Kodiaq, called the Kodiaq Lounge, which comes as a more affordable option. While it slots below the Sportline and Selection L&K trims, it maintains the same engine performance.
Let’s take a closer look at what sets the Kodiaq Lounge apart from the rest of the lineup.
Skoda Kodiaq Lounge is now available at a more competitive price of Rs 39.99 lakh, making it a more affordable than the mid-spec Sportline (Rs 3.77 lakh less) and the top-spec Selection L&K (Rs 5.97 lakh less).

The Kodiaq Lounge has received a few exterior changes to distinguish it from its higher-end counterparts. One of the most noticeable updates is the 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels, giving the Lounge a stylish yet subtle appearance.
Additionally, this entry-level variant is only available in three colours - Moon White, Magic Black, and Graphite Grey. In contrast, the Sportline and Selection L&K trims offer more options, including Race Blue and Velvet Red.
While the Kodiaq Lounge shares much of the interior design with the higher trims, there are a few key differences. The most significant change is the 5-seat layout, which boosts boot space from 281 litres to a spacious 786 litres. This is ideal for buyers who don’t need the third-row seating but still want ample space for luggage or passengers.
Inside, the Kodiaq Lounge features a more basic interior finish, with a combination of grey faux-suede and fabric upholstery. The steering wheel has a more minimalistic two-spoke design, as opposed to the three-spoke steering wheel found on the more premium variants.
The Lounge variant does miss out on a few high-end features:
- Smaller 10.4-inch infotainment screen (instead of the larger 12.9-inch display on higher trims).
- 100W 9-speaker sound system (compared to the 725W 13-speaker Canton system).
- Lack of gesture control for the powered tailgate and 360-degree camera.
However, it retains the same safety features as the more expensive trims, including multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control.
Skoda Kodiaq Lounge doesn’t compromise on engine performance despite its more accessible price tag. Powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine found in the Sportline and Selection L&K trims, the Kodiaq Lounge generates 204hp and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
